The Handicrafts and Carpet Sector Skill Council (HCSSC) is a non-profit organization, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It is an apex body for the handicraft and carpet sector to provide the requisite skilled manpower to the industry.

Our primary objective is to bridge the skill gap in the handicrafts and carpet sector by developing National Occupational Standards (NOS), conducting training programs, and certifying trainees to global standards.

Training providers can apply for affiliation through our online portal. They must meet the infrastructure, faculty, and quality standards set by HCSSC and NCVET. Detailed steps are provided in our Affiliation Manual.

Assessment agencies must have a proven track record in vocational testing, certified assessors for specific job roles, and a transparent evaluation process aligned with HCSSC guidelines.

We offer various programs including Fresh Training for new entrants, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for experienced artisans, and specialized Training of Trainers (ToT) and Training of Assessors (ToA).

Certificates can be verified through the Skill India Portal or by contacting our certification department with your unique certification number.
